Mission Barrio Adentro has saved the lives of 1,460,387 people

During a meeting with the Vice Presidency for the Social Area, which was held on Tuesday at Miraflores Palace in Caracas, the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, reported that Barrio Adentro has saved the lives of 1,460,387 Venezuelans since its inception in 2003.
«When has this been made in Venezuela?. Never before!», stressed the President.
He also stressed that the public health system must continue to cover all spaces and corners of the country to keep providing the Venezuelan people free and quality medical service.
The Head of State also said that Venezuela is organized into 593 Integral Community Health Areas (ASIC), 594 Integral Diagnostic Centers (CDI) and 596 Integral Rehabilitation Rooms (SRI).
«Nowhere in the world, except in Cuba and ALBA countries, there exists a system for the care, rehabilitation and strengthening of the people’s health as the one constructed in Barrio Adentro» he said.
He further noted that in the coming weeks will graduate 5,000 new specialists in integral medicine. «They are our boys who started nine years ago, and who have been graduating by the thousands,» he said.
