La Tortuga Island will become the great tourist center of the Caribbean

After the creation of the Special Economic Zones, the La Tortuga (The Turtle) Island, located in the Miranda Insular Territory, will become “the great tourist center of the Caribbean,” as announced the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro:

“I am not exaggerating when I tell you that the project on the La Tortuga island is the largest and most important tourism project today in the Caribbean and in the world”, he emphasized, while exhorting businessmen from Africa, Latin America, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean to invest in “the most important ecological project in the entire world”.

In the voice of the Vice Minister for Productive Economy, Héctor Silva, in the territory of La Tortuga Island 10 high-level resort hotels will be built “with renewable energy, solar and wind electric energy”, whose development is endorsed in a project elaborated during 10 months under the endorsement of the Presidency of the Republic and the participation of the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, Education and Health, as well as the Ministries of People’s Power for Tourism; Ecosocialism and Transport.
