President Nicolás Maduro: 67% of the country’s Chambers of Popular Self-Government have been installed

From the Sovereign Commune of People’s Power, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, reported that to date, 67% of the Chambers of Popular Self-Government have been installed, and others are under construction.

This work session will also provide details of the progress made toward consolidating the Popular and Communal Government System, with the goal of continuing to advance Venezuela’s communal system through participatory and protagonist democracy.

In this regard, Ana Cedeño, the spokesperson for Food for the Sovereign Commune of People’s Power, specified that this commune has nine Communal Councils, and has a total of 3,602 families live in the area.

For his part, the head of state stated that work teams must begin to be activated from each of the established rooms. These teams will consist of seven groups that must be established immediately, and then start the popular self-government.

Along these lines, he highlighted three fundamental elements for the actions of the Popular and Communal Government System: “to develop it along with the people, with the people, and for the people.»

He also urged the ministerial committee to remain in constant contact with the people, 24 hours a day, and to begin a new political interaction in the country from the Miraflores Palace, the self-governing chambers headed by Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, and the Council of Vice Presidents, where «politics with a capital «P» is carried out by the people in their own territory and is at the service of the People’s 7T Plan and the Concrete Action Agendas (ACA).»
