The constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro Moros, praised the strength of the five generations present at the first Congress of the Historical Block and commented that, after his first 12 years of presidency, the Venezuelan people, in perfect fusion with the forces of peace, will consolidate a new era of the 21st Century Socialism of Commander Hugo Chávez with the Bolivarian Revolution in Political Power today and in the future:
“It is not (about) Maduro, it is the revolutionary people. It is not (about) a man. Maduro may or may not be there, but what will always be there is the victorious Bolivarian Revolution in Political Power; it is the people of Venezuela in civic-police-military fusion. This will transcend the decades, our physical life and the centuries of centuries, in an immense constructive power, liberating our country and our America,» he said from the Cuartel de la Montaña 4F (4F Mountain Barracks), where the Mausoleum of the Revolutionary Leader is located.
In this way he confronted the head of the EFE international news agency, who published in a tendentious way that «Maduro is in his first 12 years.» Faced with this intention, he recalled what Chavez then said: «It is not (about) a single man. The oligarchy did not want to understand this; we are a project of centuries.»
«We must be aware of the battles we are fighting and the victories we are obtaining, which are for an anti-fascist, humanist project, and a shared future with humanity,» he urged.
He denounced that imperialism has one objective: to destroy it, and in Venezuela the Revolution has another objective: «to live, fight and defeat them.» «They have not been able, nor will not be able to defeat this force of the Latin American and Caribbean Revolution. Today, there is no force on this continent with the leadership power that has the Bolivarian Historical Block of the Venezuela of the 21st Century,» he confirmed.
He considered that this Great Congress of the Historical Block is a process of definition and articulation of the popular forces to govern this country in a project of sovereignty and national realization among all. He contrasted this fact with the selfish behavior of the Venezuelan extreme right wing, which has never consulted its followers on any subject. He warned about the elite character, brutally exclusive and antidemocratic of the right and all this political current, whose maximum decision-makers are the surnames of lineage:
«The oligarchy and imperialism live in a state of megalomaniacal delirium; they believe they are alone in the ring, they underestimate us and do not know that we are the telluric force of history (…) We came to be a historical force for a long time until the country triumphs definitively,» said the head of State.
Just as Commander Hugo Chavez sowed a golden generation of youth in high schools, colleges and university campuses, President Maduro said he was proud to have a People’s Power organized with the five generations that accompany him today: «There is no way that this beauty of what we are will disappear, because we are amalgamated with the true roots of Venezuela. Here are Guaicaipuro, Urimare, (José) Leonardo Chirino, the Negro Pedro Camejo, Francisco de Miranda, our Liberator Simon Bolivar, Urdaneta, Zamora, Simon Rodriguez and Chavez.»
