Four lines of research on SARS-CoV-2 are being promoted by the Venezuelan Institute of Scientific Research (IVIC), an entity attached to the Ministry of Peopole’s Power for Science and Technology.
The Venezuelan scientific institution joined the National Diagnosis Network against Covid-19, which will increase the number of daily tests and response capacity, as it was reported this Monday through a press release.
The Molecular Virology Laboratory, located at the IVIC’s Center for Microbiology and Cell Biology, became the third public center that performs molecular diagnostic tests for Covid-19.
The project has more than 30 professionals, mostly women, from the Molecular Virology and Virus Biology laboratories of that center, who have also joined the fight against this new coronavirus.
