Patriotic AN guarantees more than 77% of the 2024 budget to social investment

Fortunately, the people elected a new National Assembly in 2020, which has a patriotic majority and works. It was approved on time and we have a 2024 budget for economic growth and social recovery,” highlighted the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, endorsing that more than 77% of next year’s budget will go to social investment, including items for the defense of Essequibo.

In the 30th edition of his “Con Maduro+” program he explained that the budget is prepared for the 77% that is invested in social matters. “The only country in the world (Venezuela)”, which “will mean a social investment of 77% and seek the recovery of the fourth consensus: State of social welfare.”

He pointed out that the approval of this 2024 budget is a success, at the same time he questioned: “why can this budget be approved? Because there is a National Assembly where the majority is patriotic.”

The President compared that, contrary to this, “We spent five years without approving the budgets in the hardest years of the economic war, when the Assembly was in the hands of (Juan) Guaidó, who sabotaged all the economic plans.”

Now it is different, after those episodes of sabotage – he said – a true Assembly has arrived that takes into account “the priorities and budgets of the years of the war economy, of brutal sanctions.”

The president pointed out that today “with our own efforts we have been recovering, in several ways, one of them: Production to replace imports, so that “currently we are producing 85% of the country’s food that goes to the home, there to table. Before we imported 85%, in the good times,” he highlighted.

He illustrated that the budget is prepared to invest “in the construction of 500,000 homes, recovery of high schools and universities, free, public and quality education, the recovery of the entire public health system with the Bricomiles”, among many other projects for the people.
