Ernesto Villegas, Minister of Communication and Information, said on Tuesday that “Unfortunately, the news of President Maduro meeting with Pope Francis embittered many.”
He emphasized that the Vatican supports the initiative of the Bolivarian Government for holding dialogue with all sectors of the country, adding that: “The people does not deserve their sacrifice to be in vain. The President has been working on an alternative economic solution. ”
He pointed out that the Vatican sent its observer to accompany the dialogue board proposed by the National Executive, and also thanked the support of the rest of international observers for whom he requested respect by the opponents.
This was reported in a special program led by Luis José Marcano, president of Venezolana de Television.
