«How sad that, after a life as a militant, the honeys of power, corruption and imperialism make someone end a political life that way».
Thus was the response of the National leader of PSUV, Héctor Rodríguez, when consulted on the case of the former Attorney General, Luisa Ortega Díaz, and the announcement made by Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos on that she is protected in his country.
«There in Colombia they welcomed (coup plotter of 2002) Carmona Estanga, who was seen by the entire Venezuelan people giving a coup d’etat. And now they welcome this lady (Luisa Ortega Díaz), on whom last week was presented irrefutable evidence, which allows one to understand many things, on the behavior, on the turns, on the situation of impunity that was built around the Prosecutor and which also allowed these levels of violence we’ve seen», he said.
Rodríguez said that in Venezuela there will be justice, referring to the case of the former official, adding that in Colombia, sooner rather than later, there will be a Government that represents the interests of the people.
