COVID: Venezuela registers 431 community cases, 5 imported and adds 134,839 recovered patients

A total of 436 new cases of contagion by COVID-19, of which 431 are of community transmission and 5 imported cases, were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities to raise the total accumulated figure to 142,774, while the rate of recovered, 94 percent of the total number of cases remains, registering 134,839 people healed thanks to the free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.

This was released this Monday by the sectoral vice president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, in his account of the Twitter social network, during the usual daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19.

He announced that the community contagions of this day were concentrated in 17 entities: Bolívar (188), Caracas (68), Miranda (61), Monagas (28), Nueva Esparta (19), Yaracuy (18), Zulia (16) , Aragua (14); Falcón and Guárico (4 each); La Guaira, Anzoátegui, Lara and Carabobo (2 each); Portuguesa, Mérida and Apure (1 each).

Bolívar state has the highest number of infections, in 5 of its 11 municipalities: Caroní (153), El Callao (12), Angostura (12), Sifontes (10), Cedeño (1).

Of the five (5) imported cases, four (4) come from Brazil (with entry through Bolívar state) and one (1) from Bolivia, with entry through La Guaira state.

He reported that unfortunately seven (7) deaths were reported on the day, bringing the fatal victims of this virus to 1,391:

A 44-year-old man and a 81 years old woman from Aragua state

A 51 years old Man from Anzoátegui state

A 37 years old woman from Caracas

A 74 years old woman from Lara state

A 67 years old man from Miranda state

A 58 years old man from Sucre state

Total of 142,774 confirmed cases

134,839 people recovered (94% of infections).

6,544 active cases

6,224 are being treated in the public health system and 320 in private clinics

3,537 patients are asymptomatic

2,453 with mild Acute Respiratory Failure

420 with Moderate Acute Respiratory Failure

134 in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Finally, he reported that up to date 2,962,352 tests have been carried out, which represents 98,745 tests per million inhabitants.
