The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, urged this Tuesday the rebellious and revolutionary people to join the reconstruction of the country and to advance in the national rebirth, «towards 2030 and beyond”.
The Head of State made this appeal during his participation in the commemorative act of the defeat the working people gave to the oil sabotage 20 years ago, an event held at the headquarters of PDVSA La Campiña, in Caracas, an act during which he emphasized the importance of refreshing the memory and take into account the different periods through which the Bolivarian Revolution has passed.
Accompanied by Tareck El Aissami, Sectoral Vice President for Economy and Minister of People’s Power for Oil; Asdrúbal Chávez, president of PDVSA; Pedro Tellechea, president of Petroquímica de Venezuela, S.A (Petrochemicals of Venezuela – PEQUIVEN) and Wills Rangel, president of the Unitary Federation of Oil Workers of Venezuela (FUTPV), reflected that this feat had a first stage marked by the anti-imperialist and anti-oligarchic rebellions «of that February 27, 1989, and February 4 and November 27 of 1992, the neoliberal eras of the 1980s and 1990s were defeated, which were responded to with the rebellious force of our people.»
Refoundation of the Homeland:
In this context, he pointed out that the second stage began with the refounding of the Homeland, which started with the constituent process of 1999, led by Commander Hugo Chávez:
“A stellar moment when the people finally conquered power through democratic and peaceful means with one goal: founding the new, a participatory and protagonist democracy, a social State of justice and law”, he pointed out.
During the second stage, great advances were consolidated, such as the founding of the Missions, which gave the people public health, free and quality education, decent housing, social security, and decent wages for the first time in 100 years, as explained the President.
War on Economy and assassination attempts:
In the opinion of President Maduro, the third stage in the history of the Bolivarian Revolution took place from 2013 to 2020, when Commander Hugo Chávez «changed the landscape and it was the time when the enemies of our people and our Homeland concentrated all the aggressions: the war on economy, assassination attempts, guarimbas (riots), electrical and oil sabotage, the farce of a parallel government, military incursion attempts, invasion, attempts of all kinds and threats of imperialist invasion”.
«A stage of learning, of unification of the people, civic-military union, demonstration of courage, creativity and innovation,» he stressed.
He pointed out that this cycle is called the «stage of resistance», because it is the period «in which the people respond with an admirable, unprecedented epic, in their fight for peace, national sovereignty and the republican life.
Heading to 2030:
While making this historical tour, the Head of State identified as the fourth stage the one marked by the 3R.Nets towards 2030, which has been strengthened by the revolutionary spirit with which the Venezuelan people have faced sanctions and the criminal blockade, to promote the construction of a new post-oil culture and economic, scientific and technological independence:
“This stage is the one we are experiencing today, the one we are building here and now, under very different conditions from those experienced before, and that began with the magic of the celebration of the Bicentennial of the battle, the campaign and the victory of Carabobo”.
He assured that despite the social and economic wounds that the Bolivarian Homeland has experienced, year 2022 is the first glimpse of what is to come for Venezuela:
«We will heal and cure our wounds (…) I swear that Venezuela will fully recover, because what is coming is a powerful Venezuela, the prosper Venezuela of the maximum social happiness,» he concluded.
