Vice President: Citgo Case is a transnational legal coup against Venezuela

The Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, confirmed on Monday that the case of the state-run CITGO company “is a transnational legal coup against Venezuela led by the United States government, aimed at seizing the resources of the nation”.
This statement was made by Delcy Rodríguez during an interview with journalist Mary Pili Hernández in the “Sin Duda” (No doubt) program, at the headquarters of the Unión Radio Network.
Rodriguez also denounced the existence of a “criminal gang” used by the United States to affect the country.
“The president of the National Assembly in contempt, Juan Guaidó, is destined to fail” and once again criticized the support that Washington and other countries in the world have given to the Venezuelan opposition’s agenda, said the Vice President.
She added that it is not a matter of government, but of the resources of Venezuelans. “The Crystallex case is just the tip of the iceberg, we are in the presence of one of the biggest spoils, Mr. Donald Trump without launching a single bomb in Venezuela intends to seize the assets of PDVSA”.
“The whole process of aggression against our country does not have an international legal basis, Mr. Donald Trump announces that he will apply a quarantine against Venezuela, we are reaching an extreme level of madness”, he said.
Referring to the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance (TIAR), which the fascist right wing attempts to implement, she said that “it is illegal and unconstitutional, and Venezuela does not acknowledges it”.
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez is convinced that the plan drawn up by the Bolivarian Government must be implemented and respected at the Barbados dialogue table.
