At the beginning of his Annual Message to the Nation, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, urged the Venezuelans «to unanimously reject imperialist and foreign interventionism in our Homeland.»
From the Federal Legislative Palace, in Caracas, the national President ratified that the National Assembly (AN) elected by the people in 2020, «is the one who designates the Powers and authorities as determined by the Constitution (…) there is no other».
In context, he pointed out that the political, economic, financial, energy and diplomatic aggression that they maintain from abroad «is a threat to recolonize Venezuela», while highlighting the revolutionary character of the Venezuelan people to face the attacks of the empire.
«We knew how to face it and we knew how to defeat it, and it does not exist, nor are the ashes left from the old AN of 2015, so it cannot be taken seriously, that they try to impose a political model on Venezuela from abroad (…) Venezuela has known how to defend Venezuela its Constitution,» he said.
Likewise, the Head of State rejected the hate campaign that they maintain on social networks against Venezuela. “It is a big business to twist Venezuela and President Joe Biden should know it, that his officials become millionaires twisting Venezuela every day, more than an ideological position, it is a business to do those things against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela”.
Finally, he described the position of the United Kingdom in recognizing the National Assembly of 2015 as «risible»: «There are still governments that lend themselves to maintaining a farce, a lie, to recognize an Assembly that does not exist.»
