President Maduro commemorates the 4-F Day of National Dignity: It all was worth

The constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, stated that the effort and the anti-oligarchic and anti-imperialist struggles carried out by the people were totally worth it, especially 33 years ago with the popular awakening and the Bolivarian rebellion, when leading this Tuesday the Great Mobilization for the Day of National Dignity that toured Caracas in commemoration of the 33 years of the Civil-Military Rebellion of February 4, 1992, led by Commander Hugo Chávez.

From the Paseo Monumental Los Próceres (The Heroes Stroll), south of the capital city, and accompanied by the first lady Cilia Flores and civil and military authorities, the head of State greeted men and women of all ages, as well as members of the police and military forces and workers of the combatant working class, who expressed their joy for this anniversary that reflects an unprecedented historical event in 20th century Venezuela. Precisely, he stressed that the uprising of the military youth occurred exactly when the oligarchs and pro-imperialists intended to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the supposed discovery of America.

He thanked the officers, soldiers and troops who participated in that historic feat with Commander Hugo Chávez, who were present in Los Próceres, and confirmed to them that loyalty and unity are unrenounceable values. Enough of so much traitorism and aggression against our people, he urged:

We are living history in combat for truth, justice and sovereignty. On February 4, 1992, we woke up to never fall asleep again. This is the day of dignity and awakening of history!”.

The national leader, previously on his social networks, recalled this civic-military action that «brought a light, in its first flashes, the national dignity, betrayed and defiled for centuries, the spirit of rebellion and the rescue of the original Bolivarian project.»

«It was the day of the Bolivarian military rebellion against a neoliberal model of oligarchic domination, a colonizing project of imperialism. Someone had to confront it and that is how our Commander Hugo Chávez appeared, to say: Down with the oligarchy! Down with imperialism! The Revolution of Bolívar, of the liberators, has arrived again.»

In Los Próceres, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, took the floor on the presidential platform to recall the reasons why they rose up against that genocidal AD (Acción Democrática right wing party) government of Carlos Andrés Pérez (CAP), who ordered the massacre of February 28, 1989, the so-called Caracazo. He recalled that the rebellion of February 4, 1992, three years after the massacre perpetrated by CAP, was carried out against the oligarchies of Venezuela and against American imperialism, which was obeyed by the corrupt politicians and powerful people of those governments.
