As part of the National Council of Statistics and Geography, the Minister of People’s Power for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, presented on November 29 the country’s progress in the aforementioned matters before a delegation from the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC ).
Menéndez explained, in a statement to the media, that having a statistical system in the country allows the adaptation of policies that strengthen the social, political, economic and commercial development of the nation:
«Having a statistical and geographic system allows us to adapt policies and statistics that are not simple values, or national aggregates, being able to know the where and when of each of the data, gives strength for the development of public policies», said the Minister.
