The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Government and people of Venezuela, congratulates the Government and people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on the occasion of the celebration of the anniversary of its independence this October 27.
37 years after this transcendent moment, we recall our common historical roots and vindicate the struggles against imperialism, colonialism and domination, which led to the emergence of a new free and sovereign nation.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, rooted in the way of unity and cooperation with the Caribbean, initiated by Commander Hugo Chavez under the integrationist principles bequeathed to us by the Liberator Simon Bolivar, renews its deep appreciation and feelings of friendship and brotherhood with San Vincent and the Grenadines.
We also express our desire to continue to strengthen our ties and friendship and advance the social and economic cooperation, as vertices of building an ever more united, strong and prosperous Caribbean country.
Our countries are united by common historical roots in the struggle for freedom and the resolution to build a multipolar and multi-centric world.
Together we have forged and materialized dreams such as Petrocaribe and ALBA-TCP, and looking ahead we are confident that we will continue tilling the ways of unity, integration and shared independence.
Long live the union between our peoples!
Long live Saint Vincent and the Grenadines!
Happy 37th Anniversary of Independence!
