Venezuela will reach 100% production of CLAP products in 2024

Commemorating this Tuesday, the eighth anniversary of its creation, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP) will reach 100% national production of CLAP products in 2024.

After recalling the progress that the CLAPs have recorded since 2016 in terms of attention and outreach to the Venezuelan people, he reported that “in 2023 we will reach 97% of products made in Venezuela, and this year, we will reach 100% of the national CLAPs. Nothing and no one stopped us,” he reported during a meeting with the People’s Power, in the Bolivarian Dome of the Olympic Village of San Juan de Los Morros, in Guárico state.

Likewise, he specified that this system of protection and care for Venezuelans has reached more than 7,600,000 families.

He recalled that “it was because of the gang of surnames and the gang of the right wing and their demagogic speech”, that Venezuela was attacked with an economic war that caused queues due to the shortage caused “by those who are used to deceiving the people, lying and manipulating”.

He argued that as a result of these attacks, in 2017 the country registered a nutritional deficit of 35%, “and this 2024 we are going to register only a 2%.”

You, the CLAP, were the ones who achieved this victory against the famine that the oligarchic right and imperialism wanted to put in our names,” stressed the President.

To strengthen the CLAP, the National President ordered the agribusiness to produce more and with higher quality. “I want to increase the number of CLAP products in quantity and quality. Let’s do it!”, He emphasized.

For this reason, he announced that “in 60 days I want to guarantee meat, chicken, beans and salt for our people.”

For his part, the Minister of People’s Power for Food, MG Carlos Leal Tellería, announced that within the framework of the debate assemblies of the 7 Transformations (7T) the people have generated proposals to advance in the CLAP ‘s P for Production: “We are going to continue looking for strategies, listening to our people to improve the quantity and quality of the food benefits of CLAP combos every day,” he said.
