Head of State announces construction of housings for the working class of Guayana

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, from the state of Bolívar, announced an innovative housing construction plan for the working class of Guayana, in an unprecedented effort that contemplates the construction of a city, with housing solutions, it will have schools, high schools, parks and health centers, all designed specifically to meet the needs of workers.

This project, which seeks to improve the quality of life of thousands of families, will be carried out in collaboration with the Communes and social missions. In that sense, the national president expressed: «I entrust Bolívar state’s godmother, Delcy Rodríguez, to lead this new model of housing construction for the working class.»

In addition, President Maduro urged the working class to elect spokespersons per company to form the first workers’ council in the city of Guayana. «With the support of the working force, I want you to elect a spokesperson per company to hold the first workers’ council for the city of Guayana, as a pilot model.»

For her part, the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted that this city represents a dream come true thanks to the revolution, which opposed the delivery of Venezuelan companies to imperialist interests. «That city for our working class is a dream that only the revolution knows how to achieve, the right wanted to hand over the companies to the imperialists, here in revolution we will continue building the future of our working people.»
