“Today we are taking several steps in the construction of a public security system that strengthens the role of the State, through its police with a humanist concept, and the articulation with the People’s Power and the Peace Quadrants. The goal is to consolidate 100%, which corresponds to 4,200 Peace Quadrants.”
This was stated by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, in the act of commemoration on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) and relaunch of the Great Peace Quadrants Mission, from the Poliedro de Caracas.
For his part, the Minister for Interior Relations, A / J Remigio Ceballos, indicated: “In relation to the Peace Quadrants, which we have been carrying out under your instructions, we currently have 2,460 Peace Quadrants throughout the entire national territory”.
Ceballos added that it is planned to create more than 4,200 Peace Quadrants, supported by a foot of force of more than 106,000 men and women members of the police forces, members of the PNB, the municipal and state police, plus the support of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), in addition to the support of the Public Ministry and the Ombudsman’s Office.
Also, as highlighted the minister, that vehicles and patrol units have been recovered, which means that we maintain logistical support, the supply of the necessary weapons and ammunition, to be able to maintain the approach to the citizen in the national territory.
