Maduro in Carabobo: Either we are all free or no one will be free

From the immortal Campo de Carabobo (Carabobo Battlefield) and by starting the journeys for the commemoration of the 200 years of the victory of the Battle of Carabobo, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, stressed that the leaders and peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean have the urgent need to understand that “No one will be able to conquer their independence alone or individually: Either we are all free or no one will be free.”

This Tuesday the Head of State toured the areas of Campo de Carabobo to inaugurate the monuments and works built and restored that are part of the Bicentennial complex, while emphasizing on a special radio and television broadcast that “200 years later and here we are: a united and victorious people, standing and proud of its history”, said President Maduro from Campo de Carabobo.

“I start the commemoration days of the 200 years of the victory of the Carabobo Campaign, 200 years of the consolidation of Colombia the Great, of the independence of the Venezuelan people,” he stressed.

Before the work that evokes the victorious and libertarian sword of Simón Bolívar, Maduro highlighted the symbolism of the Bicentennial Monument: “Set in a straight line to the Altar of the Nation, which comes, in a majestic way, in very 21st century art to signify the construction, the powerful beams with which we are building the Republic, from now on, towards the future of hope that we will build and achieve”.

Towards 2030:

In this context, President Nicolás Maduro recalled that it was Commander Hugo Chávez who set 2021 as a milestone to arrive free, sovereign, upright, standing, proud of history, “setting an example to the Americas on how to fight for a homeland that is loved”.

The Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez was the one who resurrected the sacred and great history of Venezuela, the one who brought Bolívar and the Liberators to march alongside the people (…) May the Homeland rise up great and victorious always in the spirit of Carabobo, in the eternal and sacred flame of Bolívar!”, Expressed President Maduro.

He assured that although Bolívar’s project remained pending, betrayed in his time over and over again, “it was sown in history and our Revolution, in its birth certificate on February 4, 1992, marked its independentist and Bolivarian character, forever”.

“From 1821 to 2021, and now we go, towards 2030 free, breaking the curse of betrayal (…) From these 200 years we will open the doors to a new era of union, love, work, prosperity and growth”, he claimed.
