Venezuela prepares measures to reciprocally respond to US aggression

Venezuela will announce on Friday September 1, the measures to reciprocally respond to the aggression against the people made by the United States Government, as said on Sunday the President of the National Constituent Assembly, Delcy Rodriguez.

“Being Venezuela a country with great resources to be a power, the imperial forces made a fence to affect the Venezuelan people. Their masks were already removed when announcing the sanctions against the Venezuelan people”, said Rodriguez in a broadcast made by Venezolana de Televisión.

During the first Consultative Assembly which was held in the Ezequiel Zamora Park in downtown Caracas, Rodríguez said that the executive order issued by the administration of Donald Trump against the Venezuelan people is a process that aims at the intervention of the country.

She asserted that these threats have their precedent when former President Barack Obama signed the executive order in which he described Venezuela as an unusual and extraordinary threat to the US policy.

“They (the United States) began speaking (about this) in 2015, and assured that if there was a humanitarian crisis in Venezuela they would intervene militarily. Faced with these threats, President Nicolás Maduro maintained the protection of the people, attending to the essential needs of the people”, she said.

She assured that those who requested the intervention and economic blockade against Venezuela must be investigated, in order to determine their responsibility.

“This cannot go unpunished, those who called from Venezuela or abroad to blockade the Homeland should be investigated”. We cannot forget what they are capable of”, she said.

Rodríguez said that the National Constituent Assembly and the Commission for Truth are two instruments that will heal expressions of hatred and political violence, which is the reason why she urged Venezuelans to join the debates in order to consolidate peace.
