The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, announced on Tuesday the creation of a new Executive Secretariat of action “To articulate at the national level with all municipalities,” regarding the Movement for Peace and Life.
Maduro expressed his desire to also articulate the peace fields and squares of peace with the César Rengifo theater movement and with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, as well as with all social action movements.
He assured that the idea is to create a great sporting, cultural, youth, popular movement, for peace, for life, not for drugs, not for violence and to promote disarmament at the national level.
This was stated by the Venezuelan Head of State, during a meeting of the Security Council, held this Tuesday at Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.
There was appointed Admiral in Chief Carmén Meléndez as President of the Movement for Peace and Life, creating a secretariat that will be in charge of Alexander “Mimou” Vargas, who will be the Executive Secretary of this Movement. “From now I congratulate you, because I know that you are a man of work,” expressed the President.
