Venezuela will develop ZEE projects with Shenzhen, Shanghai and Shandong

The sectoral vice president for science, technology, education and health, Gabriela Jiménez, the Minister of Petroleum, Pedro Tellechea and Wilmar Castro Soteldo, Minister of Agricultural Production and Lands, were appointed as government and political heads to execute twinning and shared development projects between the Special Economic Zones (ZEE) of Venezuela with the Chinese provinces of Shenzhen, Shanghai and Shandong, respectively.

The information was announced by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the sixteenth edition of the “Con Maduro+” program, broadcast from Shandong, in the People’s Republic of China:

We decided to twin the regions, make a twinning agreement and a joint development plan (…) and we signed investment and technology agreements, where the most advanced Chinese companies in the world have a presence,” said the President during his historic visit to the city, seat of the economy of the Asian giant.

He announced that the Venezuelan delegation – which will be present in China in the coming weeks – will be headed by the governor of La Guaira state, José Alejandro Terán, as well as by businessmen and women with the purpose of “holding a business conference and obtaining investment.” for Venezuela and economic transfer, in addition to the wonderful experience for the development of Shenzhen as an economic zone.”

Meanwhile, the delegation that will represent Venezuela in the city of Shanghai will be headed by Tellechea and the governor of Carabobo state, Rafael Lacava:

We decided to create an integral development agreement shared between Shanghai and the state of Carabobo, due to the industrial and productive strengths that the state has, to do the work and see results with Shanghai,” he pointed out.

Likewise, Castro Soteldo will lead the Venezuelan team that will develop agricultural ZEE projects with the province of Shandong. In this regard, Governor Luís José Marcano and Monagas, Ernesto Luna, will lead the projects and plans to be executed in the Venezuelan regions:

We came to open doors for Venezuela in China, to consolidate a new higher stage that is proof of everything to grow, expand it, seeing the example of the superpower China of the 21st century,” stated the President.

Shanghai Import Fair:

On the other hand, the Dignitary reported that Venezuela was invited to participate – in November – in “an important import fair in Shanghai.”

In this sense, he urged Venezuelan producers, businessmen and women “to organize a powerful delegation from the entire country,” with the purpose of attracting new investments to diversify the economy:

“We must build the export vocation of a new, diversified, productive economy of Venezuela, we have to achieve it, we have to achieve it and we are going to achieve it and we are building the roads, the markets for our beloved Venezuela.”
