COVID: Venezuela registered 40 new cases in the last 24 hours

A total of 40 new cases of COVID-19, two of them arriving from Panama (1) and Turkey (1), were detected in the last 24 hours in Venezuela, to sum 544,310 as the confirmed accumulated total of cases.

Most of the contagions of the day are located in the states Yaracuy (14), Bolívar (5), Delta Amacuro (5), Sucre (3) and Barinas (3), among others.

This was announced this Thursday by the Vice President for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, during the customary daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19, through his account on the Twitter social network, @luchaalmada.

On day 920 since the pandemic arrived in Venezuela, the country registers 5,814 as the total number of deceases. The number of recovered patients is 537,331 and there are 1,165 current active cases.
