The People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Jorge Arreaza, on Wednesday repudiated the statements by the Swedish Chancellor, Ann Linde, who supported the opposition Juan Guaidó in his actions against the legitimate government of Venezuela.
The Venezuelan diplomat described as regrettable that the Swedish democracy supports plans and characters created by Washington to destroy Venezuelan democracy and literally repeats Donald Trump’s script.
Likewise, he stressed that “Sweden was not characterized by supporting coup plotting, nor violating the Charter of the United Nations.”
The message published by Linde states that she spoke with Guaidó and reaffirmed her country’s commitment to humanitarian aid and support for all the actors who work for a peaceful return to democracy in Venezuela.
