The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, headed this Friday, the act of relaunching the Great Mission Barrio Nuevo, Barrio Tricolor (New Neighborhood, Tricolor Neighborhood – GMBNBT), highlighting the goal that must be achieved in 2021: “In the remainder of this year and the sum of the efforts we have made, we must reach 300,000 reconstructed housings of the GMBNBT”, he indicated.
In this sense, the Head of State recalled that between 2018 and 2019, complex years of imperialist and supremacist onslaught by the Government of Donald Trump, Venezuela managed to serve 861,000 homes through the GMBNBT.
He also detailed that more than a month ago, he gave an order to the Minister of People’s Power for Public Works and president of the Great Mission Barrio Nuevo, Barrio Tricolor (GMBNBT), Raúl Paredes, to initiate a process of review and re-impulse of the GMBNBT and this has been done, in consultation with the Communal Councils and the People’s Power.
Given this, the National Executive explained that all the technical, logistical and organizational aspects of this Great Mission have been reviewed and today it can be said that the country is in a position to relaunch in a sustainable way, the GMBNBT, for the second semester of 2021:
“The Bolivarian Revolution is capable of seeing with a critical eye when some paths are retraced. It is a permanent battle that we must conduct wisely to permanently reinvent ourselves”, he said.
He stressed the GMBNBT has become the logistical epicenter of many actions and activities based on the common welfare.
This social program was created on August 9, 2009 by Commander Hugo Chávez, during the broadcast of program number 336 of “Aló Presidente”, carried out from Fort Tiuna, in Caracas.
The main objective of this socialist mission is to rehabilitate and beautify the homes located in popular sectors of the country.
