Through an official statement, the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, expressed on behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, his concern about the scandalous information disseminated by some sectors, which tries to undermine the peace process that is taking place in the current moments in the Republic of Colombia.
Through the @yvangil account on the X digital network (former Twitter), the Chancellor published the communiqué, which rejects any attempt to torpedo the peaceful solution that is looming on the horizon to decades of armed conflict in Colombia. Likewise, it is rejected that they intend to build an opinion matrix on the use of Venezuelan territory for the purpose of generating instability and terrorist actions.
Following, the full text of the Communiqué:
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its deep concern at the scandalous information disseminated by some sectors today, which tries to undermine the peace process that is currently taking place in the Republic of Colombia.
Given the series of rumors that are spread in Colombia with dubious intentions, and which try to build an opinion matrix regarding the use of our territory for the purpose of generating instability and terrorist actions, an exhaustive and transparent investigation has been ordered that will establish the truth.
The Government of Venezuela urges the Government of Colombia, as well as the countries and organizations that are guarantors of and accompanying the peace process, to continue supporting the commitments made based on the total peace plan, and to destroy any attempt to sabotage it, as well as to reject any intention to suggest the possibility that our territory is being used for these unlikely plans.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects any attempt to hinder the peaceful outcome that finally looms on the horizon after decades of armed conflict in Colombia and the suffering of its people, while reaffirming its commitment to continue actively contributing and summing in the total peace process in the sisterly Republic of Colombia.”
