The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas thanked the solidarity of all member countries for financing the humanitarian aid to attend the emergency in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The executive secretary of the alliance, Sacha Llorenti, said the ALBA countries form an alliance for life, and praised the work of Venezuelan soldiers, doctors and experts in natural disasters of the Simón Bolívar Humanitarian Task Force, because they are an expression of brotherhood and solidarity:
“ALBA countries are organized to help each other, not to invade, appropriate natural resources, organize coups d’état or destabilize”, he said.
For his part, the president of Banco del ALBA (Bank of ALBA), Raúl Lo Causi, informed that the organization is preparing the second phase of cooperation with St. Vincent and the Grenadines in order to rebuild the country.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines is in an emergency situation due to the eruption of the La Soufrière volcano.
