From August 10 will start registrations for parliamentary candidates

This Wednesday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that from August 10 will register the candidates of the revolutionary forces in the new elections for the National Assembly (AN).

“From August 10 we will register our candidates for the parliamentary elections, let’s all prepare for that great electoral party”, emphasized the head of state from Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.

The National President stressed that, by constitutional order, this year they must renew the AN: “And this year we will elect 277 deputies, these are the achievements made in the various calls for national dialogue (..)”, he said.

President Maduro holds call for elections:

He also indicated that after the decision made by the new electoral body, of holding the elections on December 6 this year, they will be held under strict biosecurity controls for Covid-19.

“I welcome the call of the CNE to convene for the parliamentarian elections with all the biosecurity measures for the pandemic”, he said.

It should be noted that the CNE announced this Wednesday that the parliamentary elections will take place on December 6, 2020, indicating that the process of the permanent Electoral Register (REP), will run from July 13 to 26, and likewise the nominations will run from 10 to August 19.

Meanwhile, a voting simulation will be held on October 11, in the pre-electoral and post-electoral process will be made 15 audits. Finally, the electoral campaign will activate from November 21 to December 5, respectively.
