The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated his commitment to a great national dialogue as the only way of coexistence and cohabitation, as stated in his official account on the Twitter social network.
In recent days, the Head of State was open to the proposal of dialogue with the opposition presented by the governments of Mexico and Uruguay: “I keep calling our people to the civic military union. I keep on calling on our people to peace, respecting the Constitution. I keep on calling on the Venezuelan opposition to come out of foolishness. I call for wisdom, for rationality”, he expressed on Monday from Miraflores Palace in Caracas.
This was stated during a meeting with the Venezuelan diplomatic staff who was in the US, an occasion in which he also stressed that he is willing to start a round of talks with the opposition sectors “wherever they want, whenever they want, and however they want”.
