COVID: Venezuela registers 604 new infections and a recivery rate of 94%

This Sunday, a total of 604 new infections of COVID-19 have been registered, of which 602 are community-transmissions and 2 imported cases, detected in the nine molecular biology laboratories installed in the country and 30 rapid antigenic test kits arranged in all states, to raise the total number of infections to 126,927, while the rate of recovered remains at 94% of all cases, adding 118,887 healings thanks to the free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.

This was announced this Sunday by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, in her account on the Twitter social network @drodriven2.

In this sense, Rodríguez specified that 18 entities registered community infections during the last day of January: Mérida (194), Miranda (93), Capital District (90), Zulia (56), Táchira (46), Trujillo (29), La Guaira (21), Nueva Esparta (17), Aragua (12), Yaracuy and Portuguesa (10 each); Monagas (7), Guárico (6), Apure (4), Barinas (3), Bolívar (2); Lara and Cojedes (1 each), being Mérida state the entity that registers the highest number of new community cases (194), with active infections in 15 municipalities: Libertador (57), Sucre (35), Campo Elías (25), Obispo Ramos de Lora (19), Andrés Bello (15), Alberto Adriani (12), Rangel (6), Carracciolo Parra Olmedo (5); Tovar and Rivas Dávila (3 each); Arzobispo Chacón (2); Antonio Pinto Salinas, Guaraque, Santos Marquina and Zea (1 case each).

While, the two imported cases come from Mexico, with entry through La Guaira (1 woman and 1 man).

Likewise, the Vice President of the Republic regretted announcing the death of six (6) people due to this virus, to raise the number of deaths to 1,189 victims:

A 35-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman – Zulia

A 58-year-old man – Miranda

A 66-year-old man – La Guaira

A 58-year-old man – Nueva Esparta

A 72-year-old man – Sucre

322 days after the pandemic in Venezuela, and week 44 of the quarantine, these are the general statistics:

Total infections: 126,927

Recovered patients: 118,887 (94%)

Current active cases: 6,851

4,982 cases in hospitals, 1,720 in CDI, 149 in private clinics, and none in home isolation.

Total deaths: 1,189

Finally, she reported that this Monday, February 1, begins the radical quarantine week in Venezuela, under the 7 + 7 method. “Just as Pres. @NicolasMaduro said, we work hand in hand with the WHO to combat and control the pandemic. The call is not to relax the prevention and care measures”, she urged.
