Venezuela denounces silence of right-wing governments against terrorist acts in Caracas

The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Samuel Moncada, on Wednesday rejected the terrorist acts that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the Caracas downtown, caused by a citizen named Óscar Alberto Pérez, who had credentials as an inspector attached to the air transport division of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc).

The Venezuelan diplomat denounced that countries of the European Union (EU), as well as Canada and the United States did not appear to condemn the fact that a man “declares himself as a warrior of God, flies over the Caracas downtown, shoots against journalists who were celebrating their day and, not being enough, throws three grenades against the Supreme Court of Justice”.

In this sense, Moncada denounced that: “There is a campaign of hostility against Venezuela and the best demonstration is what is happening today”.

“They are pretending ignorance, they are protecting the actors of this fact with their complicity of feigned ignorance … countries such as Canada suffer from moral amnesia”, he said.

However, he thanked the support and immediate condemnation of these acts by countries such as Ecuador, Bolivia, Palestine and the 17 nations that make up the Community of West African Countries.

The representative of Venezuelan diplomacy also rejected the actions of the large media and media corporations allied with the Venezuelan right wing, which in his opinion have made the curtain to justify this type of actions: “Please, do review yourselves”, told Moncada to these media.means.

Finally, he invited the Venezuelans to exercise their right to vote on July 30: “We are going to reaffirm the will to be free next July 30 … let us vote for peace.”
