President Maduro called to produce for the economic independence of the country

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, led this Wednesday a productive journey where he called on producers and agro-producers to produce in the fields to make the country economically independent, he stressed that for this a lot of political stability is needed.

Maduro emphasized the need to apply the Anti-Blockade Law in all the country’s productive processes: “This tool now allows us everything, investors come to us, productive projects do come, do come from all over Venezuela,” he said.

He recalled that Venezuela is experiencing the most criminal blockade in history, yet it has managed to continue producing, “the way to unblock Venezuela is with the Anti-Blockade Law and with work, with productivity,” he said.

During the day, the “Hombre de Maíz” Pasta Plant was inaugurated in the Antonio José de Sucre municipality in Barinas state, which has an hourly operating capacity of 500 kilograms, with the presentation of pasta in screws and macaroni in packages of a kilo and half a kilo.

In the same way, the reception of the harvest began at the Agrocojedes silos plant as part of the “Winter Cycle 2020 Planting Plan” that is being developed in that plains region. This Plant has an installed milling capacity of 3,500 tons per day and a refining capacity of 120 tons.

In Portuguesa state, were opened the floodgates of the “Las Majaguas” irrigation system; the second largest in the country with a capacity of more than 2,000 liters per second. With this system, more than 8,500 hectares with optimal management of water resources will be guaranteed for planting in the municipalities of San Rafael de Onoto, Agua Blanca and Páez.
