This Friday, Chancellor Jorge Arreaza denied USAID, the US agency for international development, after they stated that Venezuela had rejected an alleged offer of humanitarian aid to combat COVID-19:
“Any country or organization can cooperate directly with assistance, via the UN or the Red Cross, without restrictions, if they wish to do so. A US official contacted us 1 month ago to coordinate the shipment of supplies via the Pan American Health Organization”, said Arreaza on his Twitter account.
“…Which never happened! Liars!” Emphasized the Venezuelan diplomat, referring to what USAID spokesmen disclosed.
