Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro reaffirmed that his government does not follow orders from the United States (US) and asserted that his nation is free:
«Venezuela is not a colony of anyone. The time for orders in English is over. We are free! The people have decided this and have wanted to have civilized and respectful relations. They will never be able to defeat us!» emphasized the head of state.
The president stated that despite not following orders from the US, he intends to maintain relations of respect and cooperation with that country.
Maduro asserted that the United States and the far right wing seek to attack Venezuelans on their territory, while reiterating his condemnation of the disappearance of compatriots sent by Donald Trump to Nayib Bukele’s concentration camps:
«They will never be able to defeat us. Never. They will never be able to defeat us. Because it is not about a man. It is not about Maduro. It is about a people determined to be free, rebellious, empowered, organized, conscious, loving, heroic, and Bolivarian,» emphasized President Maduro.
