Constituent Gladys Requena, denounced on Tuesday that extremist sectors of the opposition have been systematically engaged in forging alliances with other foreign nations in order to undermine the stability of Venezuela.
“We have seen how they have gone to the world congresses to request that Venezuela be intervened”, said the Constituent during a debate in the National Constituent Assembly in which is being set a position regarding the unilateral measures of the United States Government against Venezuela.
In that sense, she urged that sanctions be imposed on the promoters of an interference in the country.
“We need for them to be unveiled, and we must systematize it so that our people accompanies the feat against the treason to the Homeland that has been building in this country for more than a decade and a half”, she said.
“We are evidently facing a legion of traitors to the Homeland, we witnessed the lack of political and institutional will to sanction these traitors of the Homeland, that herd of traitors that accumulate in the Venezuelan ultra-right wing, they have names and surnames, and they even dare to go asking for the intervention of our country”, she said.
She stressed that, as Venezuelans “We have the natural right as a people to give ourselves the form of Government that we want, the way of life that we want, we have the natural right to build the Republic that we want, and other countries have the obligation not to mess in our internal affairs and allow ourselves, through the principle of self-determination, the Homeland that we dream, and that Homeland we dream was drew to us by Chavez. “
