“Let’s go with the Christmas carols, the drums, the parrandas, let’s hear the cuatro and the songs in honor of our Baby Jesus, who brings us as a gift his blessings, his love and the protection of all the people of Venezuela, because this, our Christmas, must be poetry, cuatro and drums,” said President Nicolás Maduro Moros this Saturday, together with his wife, the First Combatant Woman, Cilia Flores, and a large group of Venezuelan and international artists, as well as children and young people in the 2024 Christmas Message:
“At Christmas, songs always come, poetry, joy and songs (…) we are going to see Mary and Baby Jesus, to see how this child is born in a humble manger, the Baby Jesus of Palestine who, when becoming a Man, changed humanity,” said the head of State.
The audiovisual material, transmitted at night, is a beautiful, exciting and very elaborate music video, which was shown in various places throughout the country, with representatives of the Venezuelan people from various regions. It began with boys and girls writing their letters of wishes to Baby Jesus, and continued with members of the Scientific Seedbed of the Fatherland in exuberant natural landscapes, with the presence of national artists and singers from the Big Homeland, who sang the powerfully significant lyrics of an unpublished song.
The First Combatant Woman, Cilia Flores, when sending her greetings to Venezuelan families, commented that, definitely, December is the most beautiful month of the year: “And the Christmas message is written in the simplest things, in the family hug, in the smile of the boys and girls, in the love of each man and woman for our land. For me, Christmas is seeing the face of the people and the conviction and gratitude to God,” she testified about this old year that is about to say goodbye.
“We have had a very nice 2024 and what is coming is much better,” concluded the deputy and First Combatant Woman, whose words were ratified by the National President:
“Of course! What comes with God’s blessing is much better, and that is why we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2025 full of joy, peace, love and hope.”
