The Head of State emphasized the need to redefine the concepts of modernity, placing health as an essential pillar that transcends the individual and encompasses aspects such as education, customs, and lifestyle.
In this regard, he called for the rediscovering and reincorporating ancestral medicine into pharmacological and curative processes, integrating it with high-level scientific methods to generate a sustainable model adapted to current needs.
Ancestral Medicines and a Sustainable Future:
Likewise, President Maduro highlighted the efforts made by Venezuela to rescue and study the resources of Amazonas State, noting that this jungle region of the South American nation has been intensively exploited by countries such as Japan and Germany to develop active ingredients used in innovative medicines:
«How much there is to learn and rescue from the ancient knowledge of humanity and, in particular, of our indigenous peoples,» he stated.
President Maduro also emphasized the importance of understanding the historical causes of health and pharmacology-related phenomena, arguing that only through this deep understanding is it possible to address and heal from the root causes the problems that affect the global society.
With this meeting, Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to building a sustainable, inclusive healthcare model based on ancestral and scientific knowledge, consolidating its position as a leader in the field of sustainable pharmacy.
