Private banking joins exchange process of 100 bolivars bills


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said on Tuesday that the private banking, along with the public banks, will join the exchange of 100 bolivars bills that will be taken out of circulation next Thursday, a measure announced by the Government to curb the Attack on the country’s economy that run mafias in the border with Colombia.
“In 72 hours that bill will be demonetized in Venezuela, to hit the mafias hard,” said the Head of State. At the same time, he thanked the carriers for their support to the National Government, announcing that tomorrow they will meet with the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).
He explained that bills of Bs.100 will be exchanged in the public and private banks from Tuesday until Thursday 15, adding that 10 days will be given for the exchange in special offices authorized by the BCV.
