AN affirms that coercive measures will not stop Venezuela’s libertarian course

Through an official statement, authorities of the National Assembly (AN), affirmed that coercive measures will not stop Venezuela’s libertarian course and rejects in the strongest terms, the continuous and permanent aggression by the supremacist government of the United States.

This way, the legitimate and sovereign National Assembly deeply sympathizes «with the decent Venezuelans attacked by this new and illegitimate aggression of the imperial hegemon.» It also says «to the decadent empire of the United States of America and its European satellites that there are no unilateral coercive measures that will stop the libertarian and independence course that the Venezuelan people have taken.»

The letter states that “this time by imposing unilateral coercive measures against Venezuelans, worthy and brave public servants, such as the first vice president of the Legislative Branch, Pedro Infante”, continue in their desire to continue violating the rights of the Venezuelan people.

This new attack by the masters of the fascist ultra-right corresponds to the desperation they have when seeing that their lackeys in Venezuela do not show satisfactory results for their imperial pretensions.”

Therefore, the National Assembly demands full respect for the institutionality of the country and reiterates to the world that “more than 200 years ago we stopped being a colony thanks to the will and struggle of our people and therefore we do not accept, nor will we accept the interference of foreign powers in our internal affairs, nor any neocolonial subordination.”
