The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, predicted this Thursday that Venezuela will be a power in the production of organic and healthy foods.
“We will be valued for producing healthy food,” he stated.
The information was announced by the Head of State from Lara state where he began the planting plan for the 2024-2025 winter cycle in the El Maizal commune of the Simón Planas municipality.
President Maduro recalled that «Venezuela learned to produce, to do a lot with little, and we are growing, we overcame the induced shortage with production, and today the sowing of the winter cycle begins.»
Maduro delivered 410 small farm kits from the set of the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP), which consists of inputs, fertilizers, seeds and tools for planting and thus strengthen agro-urban production. He reiterated his call for the consolidation of the “P” for production:
“The CLAPs have played an important role in combating shortages. Now, we must promote the “P” of production!” Maduro said.
For his part, the mayor of the municipality, Ángel Prado, explained that they are about to plant corn, with national seeds that are cultivated in the hands of residents raised in revolution, and that today are part of the productive processes of the entity, and assured that this year looks like it will be a good year for cereals.
