“On January 23, started the US project to steal Venezuela, and today, December 16, 2019 we can tell Donald Trump: You have failed in your plan to take our homeland”, denounced the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, before the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), during the presentation of the Budget for the 2020 Fiscal Year.
Rodríguez, said that on January 23 of this year, with the unconstitutional self-proclamation of the deputy Juan Guaidó, as President of the Republic, a historical event materialized that marked a new stage in the defense of the Revolution, the Venezuelan people and the territorial and moral integrity of Venezuela.
The Executive Vice President said that the Venezuelan right wing “has taken off their masks and reveals their shameless plan, Venezuela has a great wealth and that was what was agreed with the US Government, to sell the Homeland and set aside the political plan of Bolivar”.
She added during her speech that the beginning of the looting of the nation and of aggression against the Bolivarian Government began: “where a Venezuelan sector agreed to deliver our resources with Washington, but it was also agreed that the political project of Simón Bolívar will not be consolidated in Venezuela, an arduous enemy of the Monroe Plan”, she said.
She stressed that these are the historical reasons for what is expressed today in more exacerbated and direct actions, which shows a shameless plan of the Venezuelan right wing, willing to do anything.
Similarly, she said that when she was appointed as Executive Vice President, the country was going through a historic moment with multiform and imperialist aggressions:
“Just about 4 months before, the President had designed an economic program for the economic growth and prosperity of Venezuela, within the framework of a besieged country, deeply attacked by imperial powers”, she denounced.
