Dialogue announces next round of talks from September 3-6

The representatives of the Government of Venezuela and the opposition announced this Sunday that they will hold the next round of talks from September 3-6.

In a joint communiqué signed and published by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a follow-up to the understanding memorandum, both delegations confirmed the satisfactory conclusion of the first phase of dialogue between the Venezuelan government and opposition held on august 14 and 15 in Mexico City, with “constructive meetings”.

In this context, they announced that they are studying the activation of a consultation mechanism with political and social actors in the country, within the framework of the conversations that began this weekend in Mexico:

“Recognizing the importance of inclusion, we have discussed the establishment of a consultation mechanism with political and social actors that is as inclusive as possible,” says the text published on the twitter account @NorwayMFA.
