Venezuelan delegation promotes agricultural cooperation in Shandong

The government delegation of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela held a meeting with the vice governor of Shandong province, Chen Ping, to deepen relations in areas of cooperation and share experiences in agricultural matters, both in the fields as in processing for small-scale and great producers.

The Minister of People’s Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, heads the list of authorities that is also made up of the governors of Monagas and Anzoátegui states; Ernesto Luna and Luis José Marcano, respectively, as well as the Venezuelan ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Giuseppe Yoffreda.

Prior to this meeting, the Venezuelan representation visited the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences to promote the development of rural areas and offer quality production and environmental protection.

When referring to the work agenda in Shandong, Marcano indicated that Anzoátegui “comes with his proposals for the development of agriculture, livestock, scientific and technological instruments and new investments.” For his part, the governor of Monagas said that during the day negotiation tables and “twinning of the business sector of both nations” were held, in order to promote the development of the Eastern Agri-Food Special Economic Zone.
