Venezuela and Russia continue to strengthen friendship and mutual respect


The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent a message on Monday through his Twitter account to reiterate his government’s willingness to continue strengthening relations of friendship and mutual respect with Russia.
In a letter accompanied by a congratulatory video to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin for his birthday, the Venezuelan head of state highlighted the commitment that both nations have for the peace and stability of the peoples of the world.
This Saturday, as part of the High Level Russia-Venezuela Intergovernmental Commission, meeting in Caracas, new bilateral agreements were established to undertake projects in the country’s technological, oil and gas areas.
Vladimir Putin celebrated 67 years old this October 7. Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov, reviewed on the Sputnik website, said the Russian President has spoken with numerous world leaders who have called to greet him and such calls end up also becoming part of the work of the Head of State, added the spokesperson.
