Dismantled 5 conspiracies that sought to assassinate President Nicolás Maduro

The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, revealed the five conspiracies detected by the intelligence agencies, in which were detained civilians and soldiers linked to conspiratorial plans to attack the peace of the Venezuelan people, as well as (to attempt against) the life of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and other high authorities of the national Government.

The first authority of the Public Ministry (MP) detailed that they were charged with the following crimes: resistance to authority, serious personal injuries, damage to property, conspiracy, treason, revelation of military secrets, and illicit trafficking of weapons. and ammunition.

Case 1:

The prosecutor highlighted that the first case was deactivated during the month of May 2023, in which 11 subjects were accused: Uaiparu Gûerere López, Manuel Gedler, José Ignacio Moreno, Willians Caña, Sarkis Sako, Nelson Villasmil, Ricardo Marcano, Wilmer Soto, Rafael Dum, Luis Alvarado and Franklin Alvarado.

In addition, he pointed out that there are three people with an arrest warrant who have not been captured.

Case 2:

In the second case, called Guasdualito Espionage, Saab expanded that intelligence tasks were carried out, which determined that a group of civilians and police officers were operating in coordination with members of a foreign intelligence organization.

He stated that the aforementioned people sought to access confidential information, related to presidential security, military units and political acts, with the objective of attacking the first authority of the Bolivarian nation, political leaders and weapons systems of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces. (FANB).

Case 3:

In the third case, La Viñeta, prosecutor Tarek William Saab specified that it was deactivated a terrorist group that had the objective of attacking the life of President Maduro and the Minister of People’s Power for Defense, General in Chief Vladimir Padrino López.

This operation would be carried out at the “La Viñeta” Presidential Residence, and would be carried out by five citizens (who were) detained and charged,” said the first authority of the Public Ministry (MP), at the same time asserting that due to this plot were deprived of liberty three citizens who have been accused: Douglas Ruiz; Jesús Rodríguez and Rolando Rojas.

Case 4:

In the fourth case called Fortunato, Saab explained that it was a continued conspiracy from 2023-2024; In that sense was arrested José Fortunato Guerrero Rojas in the José María Semprún municipality of Zulia state:

This detainee entered the country irregularly to carry out alleged espionage and terrorism activities, he was looking for information such as names of pilots and military personnel to send it to a Foreign Intelligence Agency (CIA),” he mentioned.

Case 5:

The last case, called White Bracelet, which the prosecutor referred to as the most recent on January 16 of this year, former military man Angelo Heredia was arrested in a rural region, near the Colombian border, in Táchira state.

The detainee was presented on January 17, at the Military Control Court in Táchira, by virtue of the arrest warrant that he has by the Military Jurisdiction:

Additionally, Saab highlighted that arrest warrants were issued against Tamara Sulay Sujú, Wender Villalobos, Norbey Marín, María Sebastiana Barráez; Mario Carratú Molina and José Antonio Colina. “The crimes for which they are being investigated are treason, intentional homicide classified as attempted, in the person of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.”
