Venezuela rejects support from the European Union to coup plans

The National Government repudiated on Sunday the response of the European Union (EU) to grant a deadline for the convocation of new presidential elections, a situation that shows its support for the coup d’état that, protected by the government of the United States (US), is being executed in Venezuela.
Following, the full communiqué:
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its strongest rejection of the statement by the European Union on January 26, which showed its decision to join the coup plot orchestrated by the Government of the United States of America, even pretending to give an ultimatum to the Venezuelan State, in the style of the old colonial powers it represents.
Venezuela regrets that the European Union has not had the courage to withstand the pressure from the United States Government and consequently has decided to join its unworthy chorus of satellite governments, and demands it to reject its defiant attitude and instead adopt a position of respect. and constructive balance that does not encourage violence and the fracture of the constitutional order.
In the same way, allows itself to remind the European authorities that the legitimacy and constitutionality of the electoral processes, of the institutions and of the authorities of the Venezuelan State, do not depend in any way on the recognition, judgments or positions of any foreign entity, and therefore their arrogant demands do not have any tangible effect.
The colonial logic was banished from the Venezuelan homeland two hundred years ago by the Bolivarian liberation process, and this legacy will be defended today as it was then.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will continue committing to maintain a constructive relationship of respect and cooperation with all the countries of the European Union, aimed at shared development and peace in Venezuela as well as in the Latin American and Caribbean region”.
