Head of State expresses solidarity with Colombia after landslides

After the collapse recorded on the Quibdó-Medellín highway, Colombia, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, expressed through his account on the X social network his condolences and solidarity with the government and people of that country, for the people who died as a result of this event caused by the heavy rainfalls.

Municipal authorities reported that since early Saturday morning, were recovered another 16 bodies in the area of the tragedy, bringing the number of dead to 33.

The heavy rainfalls caused landslides along the road that connects the capitals of Chocó and Antioquia, but in the sector known as Las Toldas, at kilometer 17 of the highway, an avalanche buried at least 50 people who were taking shelter in a house on the road.
