The deputies of the National Assembly (AN) unanimously approved this Tuesday the first discussion of the bill on the Promotion of Non-Oil Exports, in accordance with the provisions of article 204 paragraph 1 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
In this particular and in compliance with article 104 of the Internal and Debate Regulations of the AN, in the first discussion, deputy Óscar Ronderos, when taking the right to speak, maintained that it will allow, among other benefits, to achieve the diversification of income to the country; since it seeks to generate other wealth, along with oil:
“We as a bench approved this law, which is the Bill to Promote Non-Petroleum Exports,” he said.
On his behalf, deputy Jesús Faría, president of the Permanent Commission of Economy, Finance and National Development, was in charge of presenting said instrument, the legislative branch will have five days to respond to the request of the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, in said economic matter:
“The legal instrument establishes the creation of a National Export Fund, which will be assigned and administered by the Export Promotion Agency,” explained Faría.
Likewise, the National Assembly will refer this bill to the economy commission to then advance to the second discussion and promulgate it for the benefit of the people.
