Prime Minister of Cuba honors Liberator Simón Bolívar at the National Pantheon

As part of the agenda developed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Manuel Marrero, during his official visit to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, he honored the Liberator Simón Bolívar with a floral offering before the sarcophagus where his mortal remains rest, in the National Pantheon, in Caracas.

The solemn act took place this Tuesday, accompanied by the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations, Félix Plasencia, and the Cuban diplomatic staff accredited in the country.

Prime Minister Marrero stressed that: “Venezuela and Cuba continue to unite us, the great dream of the eternal commanders Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez. For this show of brotherhood and for just causes, we pay tribute today to the Liberator Simón Bolívar”.

During the protocol ceremony, the authorities signed the visitors’ book of the National Pantheon, ratifying the ties of union, cooperation and brotherhood that both countries maintain.

The Prime Minister of Cuba arrived in Caracas on Monday with the purpose of strengthening bi-national cooperation, within the framework of the existing solid strategic alliance.
