President Nicolás Maduro assured this Tuesday that Venezuela has the necessary doses of vaccines against Covid-19 to immunize 95% of the population.
During a special journey dedicated to the Social and Territorial Offensive Plan in Health, the national president reported that “we have vaccines for more than 95% and the reinforcement vaccines are already arriving”.
In this regard, he added that said reinforcement process will be organized by age groups, from those who were vaccinated in the months of April and May this year.
The head of state recalled that last week mass vaccination increased by four points to total, up to date, 74% of the population:
“There are those who bet, the rat of (Juan) Guaidó had bet for not even a single vaccine to arrive, and called here and there, they wanted to put Venezuela in a crisis, and we did not allow it, we were more successful ourselves”, he said.
Given this, President Maduro appealed to parents and representatives to take their children to vaccination centers: “The vaccine is waiting for you,” he stressed.
For her part, the Minister for Education, Yelitze Santaella, stressed that up to date 94% of the personnel working in the education sector have already been immunized.
